International Landscape

International soccer is transforming. National teams are adding diaspora, dual citizenship individuals to their rosters and are seeing positive results. In the 2022 World Cup, the Moroccan Men’s National team roster showed 17 out 23 players born out of country, and they ended in 4th place.

Additional examples that highlight this growing trend:

In 2018, 11% of men in the FIFA World Cup represented teams they were not born in.
In 2022, 16.5% of men in the FIFA World Cup represented teams they were not born in.
In the 2022, men’s World Cup 11 nations had more players born elsewhere (34% of the total teams), and only 4 teams had no foreign-born nationals.
In the 2023 Women’s World Cup, 53 American citizens represented 13 teams outside of the United States

Training Programs and ID Camps

L’Union Fait La Force training programs and camps are key components in continuing to build strong teams as the international landscape is rapidly changing, and to continue providing opportunities for Haitian youth. This program aims to:

Further the Haitian Football Federation’s competitive advantage in discovering new players around the world.
Create regular ID camps for Haitian youth around the world to train together, play scrimmages, build team chemistry, and build new friendships.
Expand marketing and engagement through new approaches to communication driven by targeted marketing campaigns to brand Haitian soccer.
Build relationships with communities, companies, and anchor institutions that are interested in sponsoring and supporting the development of Haitian youth, the Federation, and Haitian National soccer.
